Isaiah 6:6-7: 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.”
As people of God we are instructed in 1 Peter that we are to proclaim His excellencies we have been brought out of the darkness into HIS marvelous light. We are the people of God who received mercy.
At the end of 1 Peter Chapter 5 God declares that He opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble. That we are to cast all our anxieties upon Him for He cares for us. It says that He will restore, confirm, strengthen and establish us.
So then Peter closes with : To Him be dominion forever and ever. So stand firm in His grace.
Dominion :1. Sovereign or supreme authority; the power of governing and controlling; independent right of possession, use, and control; sovereignty; supremacy.
